George Wythe: The Fathers' Mentor
George Wythe (1726-1806) of Virginia was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and delegate to the Constitutional Convention. After serving as a colonial politician, he became a professor of law and police at the College of William and Mary, where he taught Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, John Marshall and Henry Clay.
Caesar Rodney: Defender of Delaware
Caesar Rodney (1728-1784) of Delaware was a delegate to the Stamp Act Congress and Second Continental Congress and later served as president of Delaware.

Roger Williams: Father of American Church-State Separation
Roger Williams (1603-1684) was a theologian and preacher in Massachusetts Bay Colony when he was exiled for protesting mandatory church tributaries and oaths of allegiance to the King and to God. He founded Providence in 1636 with other Separatists and penned The Bloudy Tenet of Persecution in 1644 and The Bloudy Tenet Yet More Bloudy in 1652.
